Another day, another chocolate recipe. I mean, you really can never get enough chocolate in your life, and these brownies are actually delicious in the summer, as I prefer to serve them cold. Curious? Give the recipe a read, and I will explain.
Indulgent chocolate brownies recipe from Jamie Oliver
250 g unsalted butter
200 g dark chocolate
80 g cocoa powder
65 g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
360 g caster sugar
4 large eggs
Zest of one orange
50 g chopped nuts
Vanilla ice cream
Butter and flour your pan (24 cm ish is a good size) and preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl over boiling water. If your adding nuts or anything like it, add it to the chocolate butter mixture when melted. Set aside to cool. In a different bowl mix all the other ingredients apart from the eggs. Then add the chocolate mixture, give it a good stir, and then the eggs (make sure the chocolate mixture has cooled to room temperature). Stir until the mixture is smooth.
Add the mixture to your pan and cook in the oven for about 25 minutes. I like mine a little undercooked, so I usually do about 20 minutes.
The brownie is delicious right out of the oven with some vanilla ice cream, but I actually prefer mine after a night in the fridge. It becomes this delicious chocolate fudge thing and is awesome with vanilla ice cream as well.
